Job Description:

Under guidance and direct supervision of SPO and Social Welfare, the Advocacy & Coordination officer is responsible for carrying out advocacy campaigns and work closely with legislators and policymakers, women caucus, and assist the teams in the implementation of laws related to the Gender Equality Program in order to achieve the strategic goals of SWD.

Main Responsibilities:

  •  Support SWD in strengthening of coordination & communication with policymakers, legislators, line departments, CSO’s, NGO’s’ donor agencies to address to GBV issues;
  • Identify policy gaps, and give recommendations and input to relevant authorities through Social Welfare Department;
  • Support department for advocacy initatives;
  •  Support SWD in arranging networking meetings, seminars, workshops, awareness sessions and training;
  • provide technical support for GBV prevention and response to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities, sharing of knowledge and information;
  •  Participation in planning and management of periodic forums providing necessary support and assistance;
  •   Caring out social accountability process/data collection on project-related themes;
  • Support department for reports as per the need of the department;
  • Responsible for managing, technical and financial, donor reporting and partnership management;
  • Undertake any other activity as and when assigned by the department.

  •  Knowledge of norms and practices of advocacy on gender related issues with government departments, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders
