IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 30 years, and manages & delivers large, complex programs to meet needs in health, education, protection, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor & conflict-affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary:

Project Intern will provide administrative and logistical support to the ERMP team for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders & partners, and facilitation of implementation, monitoring and reporting for the project “Enrollment, Retention, Mainstreaming and Protection of Afghan Refugee and Host Children in Balochistan Government Schools.” While working with the team. This position is a great opportunity to gain experience in a humanitarian and development sectors and to learn about host and refugee community and projects implemented to overcome the challenges and issues they are faced with.

Internship Overview/Summary:

Under the supervision of the Sr. project Coordinator, she/he will be responsible for ensuring day to day operations in accordance with IRC policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

·         Learn how the project management approaches are practically implemented in the context of Pakistan in humanitarian and development sector.

·         Assist  the Project team in collecting information for different reports, external communication and presentations

·         Assists and linkup with experts within the organization to enhance capacities in developing and drafting project reports, presentations,  meeting minutes and other related tasks.

·         Coordinate with participants and make arrangements for meetings for program review meetings

·         Be part of trainings, seminars and workshops either arranged by the organization or its partner(s)

·         Draft and review multiple project related documents assigned by line manager

·         Support Program Unit in performing different administrative tasks, when required

·         Work with field teams to develop case studies and success stories

·         Develop strong understanding of IRC Good and Great Standards and Practices and its application to ERMP project.

·         Any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements:

Education:

Fresh Graduate (Bachelors/Masters) in Project Management

Work Experience:

Entry Level. Understanding of the non-profit sector will be a plus.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of software (Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project),
  • Good in communication and analytical skills.
  • Team worker with flexibility.

Language Skills:

Strong English language skills both written and oral.
