This is a very exciting opportunity to work alongside the founding members of an organization to establish and scale a truly innovative Digital Affordable-Housing Green Mortgage Bank, that strives to become the benchmark of how to galvanize social development and transform societies within a short period of time.  


Trellis Housing Finance Limited is looking for a bright, well-rounded and ambitious individual who can take on a broad role in helping it set up operations in Pakistan. 


Background  


Pakistan is faced with a housing shortage of 10 million currently growing by 1 million every year. The population, 80% without a bank account, has been starved off house financing solutions for years. Pakistan’s housing finance-GDP ratio is one of the lowest in the world – 0.25% (South Asia: 3%, Bangladesh: 3%, India: 11%).  


Trellis’ mission is to fill this gap by providing affordable green mortgage solutions to low and middle income groups in Pakistan. This is expected to significantly boost financial inclusion, home ownership and economic activity in the country. The senior management team has a combined experience of over 50 years in international banking, hedge funds, capital markets and financial technology.


Primary Responsibilities 



  • Work with product managers and operations teams to design, build, document and analyze business processes and procedure documents. 

  • Work with engineering to define automation strategies for processes and tasks. 

  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure automation is in line with expectations. 

  • Gather and analyze data to establish baseline performance and provide insight to where the opportunities are to improve based on facts. 

  • Set up sustainable ways of measuring the performance of processes to enable continuous improvement. 

  • Work with operations teams to optimize business processes and procedure documents to ensure consistent, efficient, quality outputs. 

  • Work with leadership to prioritize opportunities for additional business process improvements. 

  • Ensure open and meaningful internal communication at all levels, and across business functions, to enable effective decision making, that deliver a well-run and well controlled environment. 

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and behaviors to create an empowered, positive and engaged workforce who put the customer at the heart of everything they do. 

  • Actively promoting our core values, ethics and culture.


Skills and Experience 



  • Strong, demonstrable experience as a business process analyst. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Robust attention to detail with competency in analytics / statistics 

  • Agile mindset with skills in indirect management and achieving consensus  

  • Process or Project Management certification (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) 

  • Financial Service/Banking Operations experience 

  • Basic knowledge of economics and housing finance 

  • Experience of working with CRM systems 

  • Real-world experience with BPMN and DMN 

  • Experience writing simple SQL queries for data analysis 

  • Basic proficiency with Java, Javascript, or Python 

  • Understanding of version control and SDLC methodologies 

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Urdu
